Last updated: October 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information PC Control Lab (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects on pccontrollab.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to us at contact@pccontrollab.com.

Who we are

PC Control Lab is a website with tech how-to guides and videos, run by Ivan Kovacevic. You can reach us any time through our Contact page or at contact@pccontrollab.com.

What information we collect

  • Email signup. If you subscribe to our emails, we collect your email address and the time of signup, and we record that you confirmed your subscription.
  • Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, and your IP address and browser details to help prevent spam.
  • Contact form and emails. If you write to us, we collect your name, email address and the contents of your message.
  • Technical data. Like most websites, our web host records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit in server logs. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
  • Analytics. We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location.
  • Advertising. We may show ads through Google AdSense. See the Advertising section below.

How we use your information

  • To send you the emails you asked for, such as new guides and videos.
  • To publish and moderate comments and to answer your messages.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
  • To understand how the site is used and to improve our guides.
  • To show advertising that helps pay for the site, where ads are enabled.

We do not sell your personal information.

Email subscriptions

Our email list is managed on this website using the MailPoet plugin, and emails are sent through our own mailbox provider. When you sign up we send a confirmation email, and we only add you to the list after you click the confirmation link. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time with one click.

Advertising and cookies

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. To learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using cookies for ads and analytics. You can accept all, reject all, or choose analytics and advertising separately in the consent banner, and you can change your choice at any time with the Privacy settings link in the footer. More details are in our Cookie Policy.

Videos and external links

Some pages embed videos from YouTube. When you play an embedded video, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect information according to its own privacy policy. Our guides may also link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the site, and only as needed: our web hosting provider (Hostinger), our email provider (Zoho Mail), and Google (analytics, advertising and YouTube). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep information

  • Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.
  • Comments: until the comment is removed. Comment data may be kept so conversations remain readable.
  • Messages sent to us: as long as needed to reply and handle follow-up, then deleted or archived.
  • Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent, and receive a copy of your data. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know and the right to delete. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising except as described in the advertising section above. To use any of these rights, email contact@pccontrollab.com.

Legal bases (EEA and UK)

We rely on your consent for email subscriptions, analytics and personalized ads. We rely on our legitimate interests to keep the site secure, prevent spam and answer your messages.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security and international transfers

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website can guarantee complete security. Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own, such as the United States. Where required, they rely on approved safeguards.
